Tom acquired a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering in 1993 and started Halcyon Networks in 2001. In his career he has served in both in-house and consulting roles for multiple organizations. Tom has extensive experience with various aspects of network management, including network design, implementation and support; project management; project planning; helpdesk management; hardware and software deployment in both stand-alone and networked environments; process documentation; database design and web design. Significant projects have included the Arizona Department of Economic Security, where Tom lead the deployment of new LAN systems to the State’s approximately 70 Child Protective Services offices located in 45 Arizona cities and towns. In addition, Tom was published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) in their monthly publication, IEEE Spectrum, for his article on the theoretical use of Chaos Theory to encrypt and decrypt secure data transmissions.
